I walked around looking for a barbershop. My first time in New Orleans. Great place. Owner has been there 48 years. You can learn a lot sitting in the chair for 30 minutes. Cash only. No issues there. Great little place. True Barbershop.

I love coming to see Pat when I am in New Orleans. I first got my hair cut by him before a fancy wedding that was being held at the Ritz last year - and the concierge there suggested I go to Monteleone Barber Shop for the trim I requested. Stepping into Monteleone Barber shop is like stepping back in time (although doubtful a woman would have gotten her hair cut there in the 1940s) and Pat has an amazing plant that should not be alive because I don't think it has ever been repotted but it thrives where it is. I am sure this is not important to most guys who go in this barber shop (maybe I am being sexist) but the plant is a highlight. Back to Pat: he listens to what you want to be done with your hair and asks even more questions and then does a great cut. He is a gentleman (local of course to New Orleans area) and an excellent barber - and every time I am in New Orleans, I will make sure my hair is ready to be cut and "head" there.

This was my first time today.. I almost didn;t nmake it due to the parade and the trafic, but Pat stayed open and man am I glad he did. Excellent cut and great price! There is no reason to go anywhere else, this place is the best in NOLA.

Great old-fashioned barber shop with barber pole outside the door. Pat was amazing. He has been in this location for 47-yrs. If you are looking for a stylist, this is not your place. If you are looking for a good men’s cut without all the craziness of a trip to a salon that has ruined men’s haircuts, this is your place. He stays busy. So call for an appt.

Fantastic experience. We were in New Orleans, staying at the Hotel Monteleone for a getaway weekend and my hair was getting pretty shaggy, so I walked in on a Saturday and got a really nice haircut. This is a true old school barbershop with the hot lather neck shave, etc. Price was reasonable at $25. The barber has been cutting hair for 63 years and is a really nice man. Much appreciated!

My husband needed a haircut before a fancy wedding in NOLA. We are from out of town but found this place on google. Great experience! It was only $25 and the barber was great and made sure to ask questions to know exactly what my husband wanted. We sent half the groomsmen here afterward!
